Silversea Cruise Line - When perfection isn't enough

There are 5 players in the Ocean Ultra Luxury space these days. What we know about the pent-up demand from the pandemic is that luxury travel has lead the way in the resurgence of travel. To outline my point, just this week, Regent Cruise Line launched their 2024 World Cruise, a 132-night sailing on Regent’s 700-passenger Seven Seas Mariner. It will be a country counter’s delight. It includes visits to 66 ports in 31 countries. What is significant is that this cruise sold out completely Wednesday in 2.5 hours. Yes, that is correct. The most expensive stateroom coming in at just under $400,000 for 2 people. Other ‘Ultra’ players are Crystal Cruises, Seabourn, Sea Dream Yacht Club and Silversea. Why am I writing about $400,000 sailings? Because I think there is value to the all-inclusive nature of this line if you are interested in sampling the finer way to travel the oceans of the world. For example, there is an 18 night South American itinerary that starts at $8550. If you view the Inclusions image below, you'll see what I mean, flights (Business Class when available), butler service, transfers, premium beverages and luggage service. Now about S.A.L.T. If you are into fine foods, Silversea’s unique Sea And Land Taste programme. S.A.L.T.℠ offers travelers the richest gastronomic experience there is. S.A.L.T. focuses on reflecting your destination through taste, by sourcing authentic ingredients prepared with respect to tradition. It's an amazing concept! If you are searching for some rich, content look no further than Discover Silversea. I mention it below and give you a link. It's an amazing find you can get lost in for days! Who is a Silversea passenger? Someone who enjoys the finer things in life. Likely someone well traveled where the typical tourist spots are something they would just soon avoid. A person who is a discoverer, enjoys going to the nooks and crannies of the world. Someone who has lived life with a curious nature -always a life long learner. An individual with discriminating taste in food. A person who loves to dress up for dinner and enjoys the formality and traditions of ocean voyages. Does this sound like you? I'll let you think about that. Silversea itineraries are unique and varied. They visit over 900 destinations, some neither one of us has heard of. Average age of passengers is a young 65 and they typically take 2-3 vacations a year, they also often travel with their multi-gen family. Silversea has a very loyal following. Frequent sailors belong to their loyalty program the Venetian Society. There are plenty of membership privilege's and even a referral program for friends where there's a benefit for both parties. I'll leave you with this. Silversea has a saying they like to use with Travel Advisors, it's not what you pay to get on, it's what you pay to get off. Many ocean lines charge for many things while you are cruising. Many people are tired of that and just don't want to have to worry about paying for anything except shopping to get off the ship. Silversea might be one to consider for your next Indulgent Voyage.
